Consumer health data privacy policy

What health-related information we hold, why, who sees it, and how to ask us to see or delete it.

Draft for legal review. Not yet in force.

This policy has not been reviewed by a lawyer, so it is not yet the policy that applies to this site. Details marked To confirm (0 so far) are things the site operator still has to supply before it can be published.

The short version

  • Some information on Chik Dorjé can show something about your health, for example joining the waitlist for a type of care, or contacting a clinic we list.
  • We count visits only as anonymous totals, with no cookie and no visitor ID, so we cannot tell who visited which page.
  • We do not sell any of it, and we do not share it with advertisers.
  • You can ask us to show you or delete what we hold about you.

This page adds to our privacy policy, which explains everything else we hold.

What we collect

  • If you join the waitlist: your email address, and whether you are interested in men's or women's treatments if you choose to say. Joining a waitlist for health care can hint at something about your health, so we treat it as consumer health data.
  • Visit statistics, for everyone: the pages viewed, the time, the site or campaign that sent the visitor, clinic listings viewed or clicked, device type, browser type and country code. No cookie, no visitor ID and no internet address are kept with these, so they do not identify anyone. A random reference code goes with each clinic click, and the clinic may later tell us whether that enquiry became a consultation or a treatment. Clinics never send us names, contact details or health details, and we do not try to work out who a code belongs to.
  • If you chat with Heidi, the AI site guide: she asks you not to share health details. If you do, they are sent to our AI model provider to write her answer. We do not store the chat.

We never record account, sign-in, settings, watchlist, treatment-record, prescription or waitlist pages in visit statistics.

Why we collect it

  • Waitlist details: to send you launch updates, and nothing else.
  • Visit statistics: to understand which pages and campaigns are useful, and to report totals to the clinics we list.

Where it comes from

From you, when you join the waitlist, and from your browser's requests to our site for visit statistics.

Who we share it with

  • Listed clinics receive totals only (for example, how many people viewed or clicked their listing in a month).
  • Our AI model provider (behind Heidi) receives only the messages you type to her, to write her answers, as our service provider.
  • Our service providers (our database service, email service and web host) store and process it for us, and may use it only to provide that service to us.

We do not sell this information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

How long we keep it

Waitlist details: until you leave the waitlist, or as set out in our privacy policy. Visit statistics: 12 months.

Your rights

You can:

  • ask whether we hold consumer health data about you, and for a copy of it;
  • ask us to delete it (you can also leave the waitlist on the site at any time);
  • ask for a list of the service providers we have shared it with.

Visit statistics are not linked to anyone, so we cannot find or delete a particular person's visits. If we refuse a request, you can appeal by replying to our answer. Contact: support@chikdorje.com, with "Privacy request" in the subject line.
